Ultra-smart women take this method of darkening complexions.
A henna bath cult is growing up among London’s ultra-smart women who regard an olive-colored skin as something desirable.
The craze is said to be of French or American origin. Baths, strongly tinctured with henna dye, are taken monthly and impart a delicate tint which looks well with the evening dresses of Oriental shades and design now popular here.
The immersion method is declared to be easier than that of treating only that considerable portion of the body exposed by modern evening gowns.
